Will bolt up fine, as long as u have all the parts from ur 22r-W58, ie clutch ass and bell housing...
im swopping my 22r for a 22re in my land cruiser bundy, ive found a donor car, but it is an auto box. can it still bolt straight on to my manual box, or is there other things to consider? and what are they?

All R series engines have the same bellhousing bolt pattern, so you'll be fine.

any difference in engine plates? (between box and engine?)

As already said above me. Remember you'll need to put a spigot bearing in since the engine used to have an auto behind it! Not something you want to forget.![]()
Main thing will be the wiring to run EFI system, the actual motor is exactly the same as others have said.

Cheers for the responce guys.
This spigot bearing that was mentioned, is it something a first timer will figure out, or is it best to take it to a professional to sort out?
Teh spigot bearing is the bearing in the back of the cranckshaft of teh engine that the input shaft of the gearbox is supported by.
It is just a matter of tapping the bearing into the back of the crank, don't bother trying to get the old one out of your current engine, they are pretty cheap.

Sounds easy enough, thanks.
Is there anything else to look out for?
you realise you have to install an efi high pressure fuel pump now?
is the motor purely a replacement for a bung one? You can swap the manifolds and stuff over so you can reuse the carby stuff if that is easier. Otherwise, have fun with the wiring![]()
My whole engines going, it blows smoke, has no power and i go through about 3Liters of oil every 550km!!!!! plus its running a webber of a cortina, which cuts of when i go up big hills in 4WD
I figured an efi would be a better option for the money, so i thought of buying a whole celica or corona with a 22re, that way i should have all or most of the parts i need.
Should that efi high pressure fuel pump be in the donor car???
(If you havent noticed, my mechanical knowledge is limited, and yes it is gonna be a mission, hopefully not to expensive)
Thanks for all your help guys
If you are getting a donor car you will have everything you need, yes it will have the fuel pump, make sure you replace the fuel hoses with EFI quality hose.
If the model cruiser that you are playing with came out with EFI may be easier to try and get an EFI tank or see if a Landcruiser EFI pump will fit in your tank rather than trying to rig up a non standard pump in your tank.
Hardest bit is going to be the wiring, makes sure you get a full wiring diagram for the donor car and the Land cruiser.

EFI quality hoses!!! i didnt know that one, ill check that out
No, unfortunatelly the Bunderas only came out in carby or diesel!!!! wish they did tho, probably wouldnt be having all these headaches right now.
ahhh the EFI pump, another thing to research,
I actually have the wiring diagrams for the bundy and coronas, but at the moment the donor car is looking to be a celica, can anyone help with that diagram???
