x2 ... twin core?
chris: another simular one is magna/lancer/proton etc..
we couldn't find anything simular out of common aus cars (walking around a wrecking yard) im surprised you would want anything wider, the opening in the front of the lux covers the edge of the rad anyway (i was tempted to cut but decided it was only worth doing if i was going to put in something much bigger)
x2 ... twin core?

i think so..
no - single core. This is the way with most modern radiators.Originally Posted by TA-022

The reason for choosing this radiator in the first place (and I measured plenty) was because it fitted into the low height required by the early Toyota...
I think that you will struggle with other makes like Magna.
Chris - why not go to a used car lot with your tape measure?? At least you will be able to get some preliminary measurements!
YelloRolla's KE20 1/4mi = 11.32 @ 119mph @ 22psi on slicks
12.44 @ 113 mph on 165 wide street tyres
210rwkw - not bad for a smelly 3TGTE running pump fuel.
ah ok... i got x1 ....single core and outlets are perfect for 1GGTE locations.

yello: thats why i got one.. it had to sit above my chassis rails..
I will be tomorrow. And as usual it is pissing down rain for whenever I have to go to the wreckers.Originally Posted by YelloRolla
i can measure up the rad if you want.. if thats what you are wanting to do?
I know the x2 radiator will fit easily. I suppose I should just get that one as I know it works on boosted cars and it fits so that is all I need. (oh and one that doesn't leak!!!)
leaking is optional_
I can tell you that the X3 works on boosted cars tooOriginally Posted by chris davey

Good luck with it.

Is this X2 radiator a direct swap / fitment into an AE86 or does it require lower mount lug changes etc??
Cheers
ANY Answers to my above question?????
**scans the gap between your question and last post** No, it looks like nobody's answered it yet!!!!!!

Haha!
Blueae86, it is far from direct swap. The diamentions and coolant pipe locations are all quite close, but the upper and lower mounting points are a custom job.
I'm in the middle of a ground up ae86 rebuild, we are going to drill out the spot welds for the original ae86 radiator mounts then weld them so they line up with the excel radiator.
Top brackets are just a simple design you should see quickly enough how to go about this.
You can cheat a bit and just bolt some 90 deg angle on for the bottom brackets also.
