    Default 4AGE main bearing clearance

    Putting my 4A smallport together, getting 0.075mm on the mains.... its under the limit of 0.1mm but was hoping it would be closer to the std clearance.

    Run with it or get the crank cut undersize?

    That's a bit looser than what I'd like. Rod would've been fine but on the main I'd be affraid about oil volume/pressure going to the rods. I'd personnally get a crank grind and use undersize bearing.

    1 is a little tighter, closer to 0.05
    Other option is to go with the tightest Toyota bearings, I'm using ACL race atm but dont know their size aside from std. Block is stamped for 2's

    I've run the numbers on the block and crank;
    Block - 23232
    Crank - 01111
    Shells = 24343

    Explains why my no1 looks a tad tighter compared to the rest;
    Perhaps my best bet is to buy all 5's and see how they size up, the difference between the smallest and largest bearings is 0.012 (no1 are 2.002mm vs no5 which are 2.014).
    I've got no idea what the ACL ones are....... but I think they are 2.001mm

    Err looks like ACL do 0.025 oversize bearings....... perfect for linished cranks I think
