Im making it look good for now, deffs will get new engine and suspension before i am done with the looks. I want to do an sr20det LSD conversion.

cheaper options than a sr20det out there.. but i do like idea of sr20 as its soo easily modified.. but as said spectres 1g setup is a good buy and complete

yeah i don't have that kinda cash to flash upfront atm as i'm still in school so i'm doing as much of the cheaper crap as i can to get it ready to look an go real nice. sr20 are tuneable as, aftermarket readily available, hard as bricks and lets face it nearly every mechanic is familiar with them.
anyone know about legality of side dump pipes on a 77 model car?

has to be drivers side and beyond the furthest opening window.. (not sure if the hatch counts of not) there was a 28 in tassie (brown in colour, no idea if there on here was on carsales a year or so ago) and it had exhausts right down each side of it where side skirts would go looked sex!

I recently updated the powertrain in my AE71, I'm running a 4AGE that is capable of RPMs that are above what the stock tach can read(8000). What I did, which was somewhat unique*, I adapted a 9000 rpm tach from the 4AGE powered AE82 FX16 and fitted it into the E7 cluster

* - C4AG has a thread on fitting the AE82 tach into the AE86 cluster.... so that is why I said this was somewhat unique


bottom is original, top is after gauge mod


I also used the orange indicator/needles from the AE82 gauges to have all the indicator/pointers matching - now all orange, original had white for tach and speedo.

Now I've got to get a hold of one of the 190 kph speedometers to replace the 85mph/140kph unit you see in both photos above

yeah i was thinking a race style dumper pipe but on the left im not a fan of on the right for some reason :S something like this:

i have peeled off the wood grain on the dash, looks pretty good in the dark... the morning will see my descision to keep or carbon.
