They used to use them with steam but pistons worked out alot more reliable , prob be the same case here I would guess.

So I jump on google, and forgetting the name of the device I just plug in "disc petrol engine". I come up with this :

Pretty much a similar concept that has been kicking around for 200 odd years. Not only that, but going back even 10-20 years you find people with a similar concept, similar claims and yet we've never seen this sort of thing come to market.
Before we start claiming that the oil industry is burying new tech, is there something off with their calculations that is preventing this tech from moving from the lab to real world ?
