Urgent!
Jzz30 ecu, ne – and ne are red and yellow. (crank angle sensor) Which one is which? I have the ecu pinouts but no colours.
I have a jzx90 ecu which is different and the ne – and ne are white and orange.
Thanks!

I'd be using Red as +ve.
ok, thanks mate
Next question:
Anyone know what colour wires are on igt1-6 on a jzz30 ecu? I have a wiring diagram for the jzz30 to wolf but can't read the wire colours because they are so small.
Alternatively, if you know what cylinders go to what igt output from the wolf (waste spark) So would it be, igt 1 to igt 1&6, igt 2 to igt 2&5, igt 3 to igt 3&4. That is what I think it should be.
Don't you still have the factory JZZ30 ecu plugs still attached?
i have a jzx90 engine.
I have wiring diagram with very hard to read colours and it doesn't have igt1-6 named.
I am pretty sure the colours on the jzx90 are different to jzz30. So I can either find out the colours to the jzz30 and then work out which cylinder goes with which.
Or if someone already knows that, then I have labelled my 1gt1-6 and I just need to know which ones to pair up
Thanks
yep, got that one. that is jzz30.
I have the one for my jzx90 engine (same as jza70). But need to know which cylinders to connect the igt 1-3 from the wolf to![]()
Umm, JZZ30 is the same as JZX90
not a chance. jzx90 is the same as jzx81 and jza70 according to http://www.supraforums.com.au/forum/...ad.php?t=16598
and that jzz30 pinout is definitely not the same as mine. Mine is this one http://www.1jz-gte.us/Images/TSRM%20...1ecupinout.jpg
jzz30 and jzx90 are pin/plug compatible and I believe jzx81 and jza70 are pin/plug compatible - if yours is like a jza70, are you sure it's not a jzx81 loom you've got?Originally Posted by chris davey

I'm with Manny.
The age of the cars suggests JZX81 and JZA70 are the same, and JZZ30 and JZX90 are the same.
I've never heard anyone say JZX90 is the same as JZX81
I have the jzx90 dash in my car and that came from the halfcut so it must be jzx90.
All I know is that http://www.1jz-gte.us/Images/TSRM%20...1ecupinout.jpg is definitely my ecu and the other one that Cruz posted is not mine.
It doesn't really matter what I have except the wiring diagram I have has the colours for a jzz30. This is the diagram http://soarercentral.com/sc-forum/me...ng_3-46569.pdf
and this http://soarercentral.com/sc-forum/me...ng_3-46569.pdf
has the 3rd and the 6th as the same R-B????
Your ECU pictured on sf.com.au left the factory on an auto JZA70 Supra.
A few ECU Part numbers I had here for reference-

Good question. Wire it up guessing, and if it runs rough, swap it over.Originally Posted by chris davey
You wont do any harm wiring it wrong.
Ok well that is just weird as it wasn't sump swapped previously and it was always a front sump and I have the jzx90 dash in my car so I always assumed it was jzx90 loom and ecu.Originally Posted by manny
Cruz: alrighty then. That is assuming that it starts at all! Because I still have to guess which of the 4 cam wires to use. The people that tried to install it last time have chopped some cam wires and then rejoined and it is impossible to work out which is which.
Thanks for the help guys
also, any issues with getting the ne - and the ne the wrong way around?
Yeah, Wolf is very particular about getting polarity right.
Best thing to do is to wire it up such that you thing you have the cam/crank angle sensors right, and at least coil pack #1 right, and then crank it over with timing light on #1.
Make sure its about the 0-10btdc mark.
And even if you have a couple of coils wrong, it will still run if the rest is right.
Why don't you unplug the ECU end and then use a multimeter (and knowing the ECU pin outs) work it all out from there?
It shouldn't all be as hard as you are making it dude!
Cheers

Ok, I have it wired and have tried cranking but no go.
I have tried all 4 cam sensor wires. I am pretty sure I have the ne- and ne sorted. I went by the fact that cruz reckons red is positive so I checked the pinouts and worked out which one that was and then worked out what colour wire mine was and connected it to 27 & 28.
I have the igniter wired
igt 1 to igt 1&6
igt 2 to igt 2&5
igt3 to igt 3&4
I have checked the settings in the wolf and I have it on dual pulse and 6 cylinder with three ignition outputs.
It is cranking over and depending on which cam sensor we have connected it does different things. Has tried to start so it was sparking but wouldn't do it.
What is the next step?
