    Default St141 Corona rear brake conversion! Please Help

    Hey guys i have been searching for a while about the corona rear brake conversion for a TA22 celica and i just cant find anything. Anyways problem is that i have everything to do the conversion but am unsure what bearings i should run? and other then changing the bearings and the bearing retainer plate, is there anything else that might cause troubles? Any help would be appreciated....cheers

    Do you mean the rear disc brake conversion? I'll try and find they article on it. Im sure it was here a little while ago.

    I wrote a technical article some years ago on this conversion for the old forum. I have tried to retrieve it recently, and again today but cannot seem to get to the old forum Some months ago I posted a thread requesting that all of the old tech articles be moved to the new forum. Maybe you should follow this up with the Club.

    you need to buy new bearings cause you will damage them when you remove them to switch the retainer plates over. and BE CAREFULL with the retainer plates that you dont damage the ring on them. i did this and it was a absolute BITCH to get it back together cause the ring fits in real snug and if its slightly egged, youre in for a world of pain. trust me! my axle seal is leaking on one side but it is the side i damaged the ring on and as such i aint taking it back out to fix the leak.
