ive read if u change to a bigger intercooler, better exhaust u need a programable ecu or a piggy back computer..
and im running a decent size front intercooler.. and my exhaust will be pretty much straight through.. so will i need a piggy back computer to be able to tune it to suit this?

If you want to take full advantage of it, then yes. Some engines (like the GZE) make big gains with a decent ECU, some others have a fairly good factory management system. But you don't NEED an ECU from such simple mods, your car will still run fine and be as reliable as ever.
