Hmm yeah gotta measure it all up, might be able to get a miniITX in there, they are absolutely tiny. Otherwise I might go with the miniATX under the seat.

Too many plans, not enough money

I agree, it doesn't seem right to have an ir controller.
    remote yes
    controller no
If you want to use rf controllers then like i said, they should just work.
the remote will require some fiddling with getting the optical signal to the unit (as per possibly the fibre optic link or something similar)

and if you are mounting it in the booot have you thought about cutting a hole in the back part cover that covers the fuel tank and mounting it high up in there (above the fuel tank) with the face popping out through the cover.
That way it would be inconspicuously out of the way of any errant shopping bags and maximise the already woefully small boot space available to you.
Or make a false panel on one of the sides of the boot for a flush mounted ps2...
or you could modify your parcel shelf (assuming you don't have the sub in the centre) but that option might be a bit illegal (would have to steadfastly secure the unit at leastbeyond what velcro provides)

I think I will just use the wireless controllers and my remote with a transmitter. Mounting it in the boot isn't a problem as I just used heaps of velcro tape on the bottom and it sitck to the boot pretty good, takes abit to pull it off. I'm also mounting a Tvix in the boot too.

What size inverter should I use for the PS2, Should I be fine using a 150Watt?
