    Mate,

You need to undo the screws holding the heater control cables to the side of the heater unit and release the the cable ends from the heater body controls.

    This should help.

mmmk, i have bin through this all recently, stick you head where the pedals are, and lookup, around halfway between where the tacho and speedo are there is a nut holding somthing to to somthing else, theres a couple of these along the lenght of the facia, its also handy if ya have a spare facia for reference. If you are going to try and get the dash pad off, give up they glue them on and it is damn near impossible to get it off without ripping the foam etc

let me know if ya need any more help

71TA22 - are you talking about the little knobs that are screwed on to the heater? cos the dash doesnt even move that far forward.

Skiddz- im not tryin to det the acutal dash pad off, jsut the gauges out, so i can replace the bulbs,so your saying that there are a few bolts i need to undo behind the fascia??

Remove your glovebox so that you can access the screws that hold the heater controls, you'll need a stumpy phillips head.
you'll also need a smaller phillips to undo the screws that hold the plastic knobs for these controls, you get these from under the plastic knob.
and as said the speedo cable etc.
