Where in au to buy metal head gasket?

Try SERCO, they sell cometic gaskets, im using one an a 4age 16v no problems

Yep it is one of the beauty's of having an engine who's family had a long production life. If the engine or one with a compatible head gasket made it in production into the later half of the ninety's there's a good chance there will be a metal head gasket available for it from Toyota.

In my 97 model 3SGTE there is only one fibre based gasket, rear main seal carrier, in the entire setup, the rest are either metal gaskets or O rings. Mind you in the Toyota gasket set I used for the rebuild there were two fibre gaskets, rear main seal carrier and oil pump, but when I ordered singles of these to put the engine back together again the oil pump gasket was steal anyway.

so where can i get cheep 1/2jzgte ones... genuine ones are couple hundred bucks or so!
... are they the same as atmo 2j ones??? ... they are easy to get - look the same
