GA70 wheel offsets

Hi all,

Complete and utter Supra n00b, I'm swapping my car for an '88 GA70 tomorrow and it has the worst looking wheels on it.

I've found some that I like and everything seems to match up but the offset is +35.

Would they fit okay? Like I said, I've got absolutely no idea about any of this stuff so go easy! Thanks in advance

Will depend on width...
Stock rim is a 16 x 7" 114.3mm PCD with a +37 off set....
So if the rims you have found are 7" wide with a +35 off set, they will be fine in 16", 17" or 18" (assuming tyres to suit)...7.5", 8" or 8.5" wide with +35 off set will still fit, but 9" is getting into 'sticks out too far' territory with a +35 off set....
Make sure the bore (hole in the middle) is 60mm (or use a hubcentric ring to suit) so you are not putting all the load on the studs, and use the correct wheel nut type (tapered or shouldered) for the rim

Thanks heaps for the reply, I've found the dimensions, fronts are 17x8 and the rears are 17x9. So you're saying they would be too wide?

They will fit...rears should be about flush with the rear arch (assuming you have a wide body GA70...)

Oh cool, thanks heaps for your help! You wouldn't know how I find out as to whether it's a wide or narrow body by any chance? Sorry, I've got no idea about this stuff, I've pretty much only ever owned Falcons!

Okay, so I've just done some looking around and it looks like I've got a narrow body

Just looked back...since yours is an 88, it will likely be narrow body. Rears may be just a touch wide (might need a bit of extra camber on the rears to tuck them in)
