No...that sensor is a variable resistance sender, not an 'on/off' switch...
I have a 2TG-TEU in my TA22 with a standard fixed 4 blade fan and the temp goes up in traffic and sitting still, I have a new thermo fan to hook up and want to know if the Temp switch on the thermostat housing 89422-30020 will work as a temp activated switch, it has a 2 pin green plug.
My fall back plan is to just fit a manual switch.

Manual switch or find another spot to put in an an actual thermo fan switch. Tridon have these in various temps - 90 On/85 Off, 95 On/90 Off and so on. This is what I use on my cars where I don't have an ECU to control it with. It saves you the chance of forgetting to switch it on (done it before during a dirt motorkhana and it was stinging), and peace of mind when someone else drives it! If the housing has an M16x1.5 thread like an 18RG does you can use one like this.
