    Default 1JZ-GTE thick white smoke immediately on startup

    Hey all,

    I've got a non-vvti 1JZ-GTE from a JZA70 in my MX32 Cressida that I'm having some serious smoking issues with. I've uploaded a video to youtube:

    Upon startup there is immediately thick white smoke coming from the exhaust. It does not dissipate with time. More revs give more smoke.

    The engine had been sitting idle for nearly ten years.

    It is completely stock apart from aftermarket turbo oil feed / return lines which I bought to replace the damaged originals. I notice there is oil in the dump pipe.

    I'm wondering where I should start troubleshooting this. Turbo seals? Valve stem seals? PCV? Head gasket? Different turbo oil return line? Different oil?

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. It's not a daily driven car so there's no huge rush to fix.

    There is also an issue with the idle hunting, but I would rather sort the smoking issue first.

    I could be imagining things but a lot of that smoke, especially at first seems to disappear very quickly and makes me think head gasket. The stuff that hangs around makes me think stem seals or turbo. Given the car sat for ten years, you should put a kit through it.

    Turbos, if there is oil in the dump 100%

    Probably why it was parked, same reason the soarer I got my engine from was sold to a wrecker. Quoted big bucks for new turbos and that's curtains for your average joe.

    Grabbed another set of turbos on the cheap, halfway through removing them now, mass oil in the Y pipe and dump, oil on the rear compressor, fun job..

    Also picked up stock oil feed / return lines to replace the -4 / -10 lines I've got on there now.
