Almost got my car rotisserie completed.

just need to get the centre point of the shell, Can anyone tell me where the centre point is from the reference marks in the pictures below.
The shaft will be welded on so we cant adjust it once it fitted (unlike the commercial ones).







We are using the original tow points as the supports on the Front and Back I think these have been used by other without problems ?

Going off your front reference marks mine is roughly 240mm below. This is just an eyeball measurement.
As I don't have the original beaver panel in the rear I don't have those points so from the top of the panel it is again roughly 240mm below.
Mine spins quite effortlessly with one person.

Based on some other images I found on the web, I made some simple bolted clamps that attach the A shape of the ends of the custom rotisserie to the custom bumper mounts. Means that for each different car only the bumper mounts needed to fabricated, and also means there is infinite adjustability to find the centre point:

Bazooka: Measured up 240mm and I end up with a 65mm height difference front and back.
I have the car level and using the sill panels as the horizontal reference. the front is 775mm off ground rear 840mm but I think the hight above the ground would need to be the same? just mean adjusting each siden by 30mm?

Was easy with the rear end out but once I put the cradle diff etc in it took 2 ppl fucking thing broke so I couldn't adjust it

So I have made the center point adjustable and added a gear box so 1 person can turn the thing works well

I like how you went about the adjustability. Much more compact than the triangle system. Now you just need to put a bottle jack underneath the adjustment section so that you can adjust it on the fly!

How rigid is the rotisserie? Is the gearbox experiencing any upwards force?

Yes very rigid.
There was some upwards force so I had to put a guide/stop in front of the large bearing to prevent it.

Im hoping to be finished with this by Jan 2017, adding jacks would be nice but for mounting and dis-mounting but not planing it at this point.


Once I work out why the pictures take so long to display I will add some more pictures showing the complete thing.
