Hey bud, i can measure my booster up tonight.
I also had the same brake package and the pedal feel was fine.
If you need a test fit you can grab it and try it out.
Cheers
im hoping someone can help me with this. i have recently purchased samQ 100mm ITB trumpets for my smallport 16v in my AE86, i was aware that there was going to be some work to get them to fit (mostly machining of the T3 adaptor) but due to the size of the ADM AE86 brake booster this is not going to work.
i was just talking to another mate who has Brad Greens old AE86 coupe with beams engine and he has a KE30 booster which is much smaller. he also has the pug and hilux brake set up on the car and has no issues with his brakes and vacuum. good news for me, as i have a hoppers stoppers kit with falcon brakes.
so what i need to know is the brake master bolt pattern/spacing and the brake booster bolt pattern/spacing the same as AE86, can anyone please confirm?
cheers

Did i give yours back to you? I don't remember..

fucking EXCELLENT CUZZBRO!
i owe you many a beer at next beer facing you attend! i may come grab it next weekend or something for a test toast.
EDIT: just double checked then, AE86 booster is 200mm (pretty sure its actually 210mm) wide and master cyl bolt pattern is 80mm. so i should have JUST enough clearance for the 100mm stacks. i should do a write up once its done....

Nice socks
How does the size effect boostage effectiveness? I've worked out that i can fix my ta22 booster issue by flipping it, but that would be a better fit

larger diaphragm area (diameter) = larger assistance.

volume not so important.. although maybe allows for more applications with no vac?
can get dual diaphragm = more assistance in small unit

in this instance, as far as i can tell i dont lose volume as such rather its just he KE30/is deeper but a narrower where as the AE86 one is shallower but wider.
OC tell me more of these dual diaphragm boosters you speak of...
N/A for life...
is basically two boosters in one unit, to double the diaphragm area, but not increase the diameter.
they are longer and will stick out further from firewall, but a 7" diameter one is not that big?
diagram and crappy explanation here

some 7" single and dual here http://www.mbmbrakeboosters.com/inde...id=11&Itemid=6
8" dual ones here http://www.mbmbrakeboosters.com/inde...id=12&Itemid=6
single vs dual pic (Merc), for example. dual is deeper due to 2 chambers

cheers OC, 7" would be most preferable as would the dual diaphram. however they list 7" singles as well which should also suit my needs.
might take a walk down to my local brake shop and see what they can find.

if you go dual diaphragm or larger diaphragm, you can use that extra assistance to push a larger bore MC to have less pedal travel, but same braking effect.. just another thought...

yeah thats why i was wanting to know more about the dual diaphragm as i use a 1" bore master cylinder. i think that would be most appropriate for my needs.
