    Default Combining a 1JZ-GE (N/A) and a early version W58

    Hi All,

Ive got the following to complete soon :

1JZ-GE + Auto from a JZX90 Grande (will bin the auto)
    W58 from a MA61
    2JZ-GE W58 Bellhousing

After a few hours of googling this morning ive found a little bit of info from Toymods in 2007-2010... however ill ask the brain trust again as MUCH of the info provided was semi-sketchy, even from Wilbo!

    Questions:
    1JZGE - Is the flywheel bolt pattern the same as 2JZGE (JZA80) ? and i can therefore use a 2JZGE flywheel ?
MA61 W58 with 2JZGE Bellhousing fitted - If a 2JZGE flywheel can bolt onto the 1JZGE, do i then simply use a JZA80-W58 push style clutch kit ? (pressure plate, clutch etc) as the W58 spline / fork etc are all the same ?

Fleet message to the Admiral, the answers to your mini bank of questions are all yes!

Done that same conversion 1JZ-GTE VVTi into RA23.

I used 2JZ-GE flywheel 2JZ-GE Bellhousing. W58 from Supra. Clutch and pressure plate was a HiLux HD unit from local brake and clutch joint.

    cheers Chuck.

    Thanks Chuck,

Was hoping that would be the case,
I was just unsure if the non-turbo GE models of 1JZ/2JZ used the 8 bolt fly design or the 6 bolt considering they are not as powerful.

Also i was unsure that using an 80's gearbox VS a 90's gearbox (albeit both W58) would matter at all ... im aware of the strength differences and slightly different ratios, which dont bother me as its non-turbo.

Hopefully all goes smoothly. i think ill order a 2JZ-GE clutch kit from the USA with a flywheel etc . (lol @ Australian prices still)

Yep, as said will all bolt up

2JZGE flywheel and clutch = tick
    2JZGE bell housing = tick
W55, W57, W58 (from any model as far as I know!) = tick

    Cheers
