Hey dudes, replaced the fuel filter with a new clear one, started her up with some "start yah bastard", once started set the idle to about 1000rpm, it started to die, and i managed to keep it going with the "start yah bastard", so i believe it is a fueling issue, the fuel filter aswell which i expected to be full of fuel? was almost empty.. are they supposed to fill right up?
i then went looking for the air vent for the fuel tank, and found a little black one way valve with a big crack in the side of it,the dudes at repco and supercheap didnt stock anything like it, so ill talk to Toyota monday, went home and popped it open, the rubber diaphram was ruptured, i patched it with some electrical tape lol, and patched the crack in the side with some cold weld plastic glue kinda thing, its drying as we speak.
im hoping that this valve being useless is reducing the vacuum from the tank, leading to the empty fuel filter (which is ovbiuosly between the pump and the tank), leading to my fueling issues.. ideas?
ive got some photos but am not sure how to attach them, it keeps failing to upload, any ideas?
