its not a very big job if u have the bits
repin st ecu plugs to suit bt ecu
use air flow meter wires for map sensor
plumb map sensor to manifold then that's it
Hi guys,
I'm looking at converting a silvertop to run with a blacktop ecu/map sensor but still using silvertop loom. Chasing info on the conversion beside re-pinning the ecu. What happens with the afm plug etc...
Cheers

yes I forgot bout air temp sensor
ive got air temp sensors and a bt map sensor if u need to buy any of them
I did have a bt ecu but sold it a month ago
Cheers for the replies. I've already got map sensor/bt ecu. Where should I mount the intake air temp sensor? Just in the intake pipe before the TB's? Also it's going in an off road buggy, so using a kombi box- is there an easy way of bypassing the speed sensor other than setting up a magnetic pickup on driveshaft?
Thanks for the help!
hook the speed sensor wire to the injector trigger
only need to do this if it wont rev past 7500
not all ecus will have this problem if there is no speed sensor so only worry about it if it doesn't rev out to max rpm
Its very easy to do, I did it on a whim.
Use the Blacktop Auto ECU rather then the manual, 99% of the wires are the same, I purchased a broken ecu and cut lom, and bulkt an adaptor harness. You need to wire up the map and TPS but its only a quick task.
Dont read too much into it, just do it.
I have a guide on how to do it with which wires need to be changed in a Magazine. If you would like a copy then feel free to send me a PM
