I'm going to go out on a limb and say the main reasons gas isn't as popular are that A) nearly every car is petrol to begin with, demand rules. B) is that even most "performance" gas setups are stuck in the dark ages, until gas injection becomes available and CHEAP, I wouldn't even bother looking. What you'll end up with is a glorified carby.

...not even glorified. I've seen hot water services with far more control than many LPG setups for cars.

Haha, gold. But it has the GRA sticker on it, that has to make it good.

but it still doesn't have the coolness of twin barrel sidedraught dell'ortos with fuel spraying back out the air filter on full noise...

it's not a coolness born out of outright performance... it's just ol' school

Sidedraught? Cool? Nowhere near as cool as 2 feet of blower/tunnel ram, a 4 barrel (or two) and a shiny bug catcher sitting on top!

a worthy point of argument i think... personally i'd prefer the small car buzz box banshees, over the monster muscle machines.

i remember watching a race at oran park (could be wrong on location ) before they closed it down, last race they had there was a classic event, apparantly same class as they had when it opened, and to see a mini take it to a XB falcon was something else... the mini chased it down and chewed it up through the turns, but the falcon just strolled away on the straights and up the hill into turn one...
