Auto blacktop ECU;
The Civic's are quicker because they just are, the B16A makes a little more than the very optimistic 4AGE 20v's
As per title, I think I have been using the wrong ECU as the trackday today got smashed by EG and EK civics, here is the ECU, Can anyone tell me where this ECU is from, was told its an AE111 BZ-R but can anyone confirm.

What's the difference in the tune between auto and manual blacktop ecus??
Auto (from what I've heard) is a little better on a manual swap due to the maps (anecdotal evidence only), but you need to make sure *all* the sensors are connected correctly, including temp sensors, O2 sensor and the speed signal wire (purple/white).
Its wired up correctly but doesn't seem to make the expected power.
You should drive it oneday terra. the C56 lsd and coilovers make it hug the track..Just seems to be lacking power. she only weights around 860kg if that. But still got smashed by eg and ek civics. Wasn't fair. no matter how hard i pushed i could not keep up.
Ya gotta love toyodiy and it seems that you were told correctly http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_J_199....html?hl=89661

I can run faster than a 20v
only time ive seen a std 20v feel ok is when they had a 6 speed box
u need to rev them to 8 grand then change gears
they don't have torque so u need to rev the ring out of them and change gears up hi
that's y they love the 6 spd trans
put a noid light on the vvt connector
as engine warms up give it a quick rev in neutral and see if the noid light lights up
maybe your vvt isn't powered up
this also powers o2 sensor which can make these motors feel doughy off the mark
Thank dumbass. i have a light which activates when vvt comes in.
wish someone would have told me it was going to be slower then a b16b/b18c. time to drop weight and tune the engine for the track.
the corollas over here with 20v conversions sell for under 3 grand and it costs a lot more to convert one
ive probably played with over 100 corollas with 20vs but have touch only one in past 4 years
if you want to go racing best thing to do is go watch some races and see what the big guys are using
and then work your way down the order until u find your budget
but ill tell u now its not fun being at the back of the field all the time
this is why most people normally need to double their budget
Yeah it sucks not being able to catch the stupid hondas.
