Wiring for the hilux will be fuck all, few wires for the alternator, one for the starter motor and the ones for the fuel pump you can lop off.
The stuff for the V6, google away, its very well documented.

If my computer plays up much more...

These are well documented but for the hassle and fuel used you may as well go V8. But there is a little trap where some may try and sell you an extra "Box" for a whole lot of coin. The tip is to use the VP or VR engine with the VP engine management system and wiring. The VR depending on model can have a bit of a "Hissy fit" if there is no "Body control module" depending if the donor car has air bags (SRS) or not. If it don't then you're sweet (I think). But what the issue is is the vehicle speed sensor. You need an inline one that produces 10 pulses per revolution on the speedo cable. One end of this fits to the lux box and the other to your speedo cable. there are 3 wires, one goes to earth, one power and one to the VSS connection on the ECU. I think that they're Mitsubishi Canter Truck ones and you should be able to get them via someone like "Flexible drive agencies" or "Australian Fuel injection"

problem with vn vp is they are so bloody old the engines are fkt

why not use a later v6 and just spend couple hundred bucks on reflashing the memcal which i can do no problem
we can also turn off the auto and sort out the speed sensor problem
anyway speed sensor problem is not all the time its only on sometimes the engine stalls when slowing down and its hit n miss
if your conversion will have this issue
u never know u might be lucky
and on some models 10 pulse goes to dash then a 2 pulse back to ecu
but u don't worry bout that till u get everything else sorted then u look at easiest way to get speedo working and speed signal to
ecu working right before u go buying stuff

if u don't want to reflash the memcal on your vr then find a vn ecu and cut the ecu plugs to suit then repin the terminals to suit the vr
    done that heaps of times
if u get stuck u can alays send em your loom and ill simplify it
or get one o those fking ugly v6 conversion looms heheheheh
