Can you paint a brown dash black? and if so with what paint? or does someone know a sydney company that can re-cover or re-condition? thanks guys.

my guess would be try using model paint (like you get in hobby shops) - thats what I painted my laptop with last year...you will need to get some really fine sandpaper though and prep really well

that vht stuff aint that flash, im know it rubs off carpet, but you may want to invest in a dash matt after you paint this thing, might i suggest getting it re skinned? it'll cost a bit but its worth it IMHO

Works perfectly on dashes. Crap on carpet?.... thats because its vinyl dye, not carpet dye.
My AE86 still has a black dash almost 3 years on....

Looking into options, and waiting for http://www.consoles.com/ to get back to me with a quote, looks like around $300- $500 for re-skin of dashboard pad, great work, but pricey, they also do a couple of nice custom new center consoles for a few OST's, they have some pics up too of new interiors in OST's, interesting site and worth a look.
