Default TA22 celica indicator & high/low beam switch

    Hi all,

I am in the process of re-wiring my TA22 celica, and i'd like to use the original indicator stalk to control the indicators and the high/low beam switching.

I have this link to the wiring diagram - http://img.docstoccdn.com/thumb/orig/26737389.png

What wires do I have to hook up to drive high/low beam relays on my new wiring harness?

    Any help would be appreciated.

For the headlights, they are all switched to earth. There is a red wire with white stripe from the dash pull switch that turns on the headlights - this goes to ground when the switch is pulled out and is the ground switch for the headlight relay. Headlight relay then provides power to the headlights via the solid red wire. The high beam/low beam circuit is completed by the stalk switching to earth, Red/Green and Red/Yellow for high/lows (will check which one is which later tonight). The power for the headlights goes all the way back into the cabin in the stock wiring - if you are upgrading your headlights at all I would strongly recommend running these RG and RY wires out to switch relays to control the light power instead.

For the indicators I remember the wiring being green. From the wiring schematic it looks like Green/Yellow to drivers side and Green/Blue to passenger side but will have a look later tonight and confirm.

    Hope that helps a bit.

    Cheers,
    Doug
