knock sensor code/part no, 4agze AFM

hi, im looking on ebay USA now for a knock sensor for my AFM "89" 4agze. They appear mostly as a number, eg, "ks114" or "89615-12020 . My sensor is not showing any numbers, ??? anyone know the exact numbers relating to this model engine ??? "89" ae92 trueno sprinter GT-Z

Hmmm, Just reading through the policies to find no shipping outside the US. The one place i can find it cheap too, $170 is far better than $400 odd

Also, ebay, Standard Motor Products (89615-17010 known as ks212) is going for AU $279.39 Ithink i will look into this one further. If anyone can confirm compatibility of these details below with my model that would be great, im not sure about the whole AFM MAP compatibility between engines and if they use the same sensor, this sensor is only listing with MR2. Thanks.

Lithia toyota parts will ship outside US, they aren't the cheapest for shipping but you can email them and ask nicely if they can throw it in a cheaper post bag. They can't modify the shipping price but will refund the difference. Amayama will also have it, not for quite as cheap for the part, but their shipping is much cheaper.

The GZE MR2 was AFM. If you do a reverse search on part number 89615-17010 on toyodiy you find it was used in:

Amazon.com: knock sensor: Automotive

Have a hunt around, you'll probably find it there, I got a full (black!) prothane bush kit for AW11 for $100 shipped. So far I've saved about $200 on shipping and parts over Twosrus.com using amazon! If they won't ship to aus, use a USA post box, amazon are fine with it; if you don't want to do that, limit your search to "amazon store" items as they all ship internationally.

If you want cheaper genuine toyota parts shipped to Aus, you can't go past Lithia or Amayama. North Shore Toyota in NZ are also worth a try but usually their prices are comparable to the first two, all three are great businesses though with friendly people backing them.

Agreed Amazon can be good, but only for 3rd party parts. Parts on twosrus can also be sourced from eBay for cheaper too, it really comes down to what parts you are after. I would hesitate putting anything but genuine Toyota parts for something as important as a knock sensor.

I should also mention Toymods members can get trade prices from Castle Hill Toyota, but unfortunately these can often be higher for parts for imports, such as our GZE's.

Ordered and received SMP KS212
Ended up being $220 all up and fitted, works and no more engine light!


Looks like its fixed my brothers ae92 4agze AFM corolla!
