RN85 tub

Has anyone put a tub from a newer model onto a 88-97 model Hilux?

I would like to change the tub on my 94 dual cab to a SR5 tub without the tonneau lip... but they're hard to come by... I found one in not so good nick and he wants 550 for it!

There are however, shit loads of the newer shape and they're really cheap... Obviously the tank is on the left, but theoretically that's not an issue... Anyone know if the rest matches up...

Or a d/c tub upto 02 without the lip for sale... in white hahaha...

Sorry, should have been clearer... I meant the current shape tub... Isn't the tank on the left on those? Well the filler on my 94 is on the right in the cab...

I'd like to find a tub the same shape as your 2000 but seems pretty difficult!

97 on tub is wider and different at the front of the wheel arch
you need exactly what you were looking for to start with 88-97

why not fill in the groove at the top
cut a strip of steel the right width and then fill it
