Default What do I replace a blown 7afe motor with? 4afte?

    Hey guys,
I've blown the 7afe motor in my ae93 seca and was wondering what should I replace it with?
Will a 4afte just directly bolt in?
Thanks in advance for any help.

No such beast is found stock in a car(are you thinking af 4efte?). The easy solution would be another 7afe but if you wanted a little more power a 4age would be the easiest solution. There are of course other possibilities (4agze, 7age etc) but they are all either a little more expensive or a little more involved.

I think the Toyota Australia built Corolla Sportivo turbos had a 4AFTE, or maybe 7AFTE. But good luck finding one (I've also heard stories that list price for the turbo ECU is $20k). If you want high power put a 4AGTE together.

But as mentioned above, what do you want? Back on the road again ASAP? Monster power? Huge torque off idle?
I need a working 4AGE bottom end. Pref smallport GZE, but all others considered. Also complete motors.
Drift Volvo. Was fun. 2JZ next time.

The Sportivo Turbo was a 1.8 (7A), but they only built about 100 of them so finding one will be tricky, and with only 115kw its scarcely worth the effort IMO.

What's your budget for the replacement motor?

could always do the hard yards and fit 2ZZ?
