I was sent here cause you guys are the 1g-gte gurus.
Anybody?
Car specs:
1985 Toyota GX71 Mark II GT Model
Twin turbo 1G-GTE engine
24 valve twin cam
OEM 2 way 8 inch LSD differential
Suspension:
Front: JIC front coilovers with camber plates
Rear: AE86 suspension
Wheels:
Rare SSR MK1's
front:14x8 -0 offset 4.5 inch lip
rear: 14x9 -25 offset 5.5 inch lip
I think this is the only GT in the states so I have a couple of questions on the car.
1) The 1g-gteu is not an engine that came to the U.S. so what can I do to the engine to modify and achieve 300hp?
2) The car still has the bozo 1.5 inch straight exhaust from Japan so should I go for 3 inch or 2.5?
3) I'm actually working on the rear end installing new boots, wheel bearings and brakes but there's no parts for this car here so what parts interchange with the rear end and brakes for this car. MX73?
4) How special is the GT model and what's so special about it, any info you guys can provide on the car I would greatly appreciate it.
All right on with the pics:

There are quite a few people on here with detailed build threads for the engine, do a search of the members rides threads. Lots of 1g's pulling ~200rwkW.
Can't help you with the body stuff I'm afraid but you might find something in the interchangeable oddities thread.
Love the car by the way. Nice interior too.
One thing you might try is the toyodiy website. If you can find your model car on there, you can lookup part numbers and it will give you a list of the vehicles the part was common to.
if your looking for power get rid of the twin turbos and put on a larger single around gt28 and larger injectors
ive gone kkr380 turbo
440cc 7mgte injectors
xf falcon throttle body
custom plenum
3 inch turbo back exhaust
full aftermarket computer
electronic ignition eg coil packs dizzy as CAS
im hoping for around 170 rwkw at 14psi
the motors are good for up to 240rwkw before they blow
but the norm is around 200rwkw at bout 17-20 psi

the injectors are a straight swap but i know the signal is wrong but not 100% sure how to correct this
you can always pull the existing turbos off and get a y piece made up to mount a single turbo onto
that way you can have your height and angle made up to suit wherever you want the turbo to sit
i made my own it was pretty straight forward
just have a look at my hilux build and there are pics of it on there to give u an idea of what im talking about

THIS CAR IS FUCKING AMAZING..
Except for that roll cage, make it yellow. Seriously.
