the MAF is the mass airflow sensor, the VVTI motor doesn't use a MAP sensor like the earlier 1J's.

You can see it attached to the K&N filter on my motor here:

btw, that K&N is being changed to a 6" mouth K&N on an alloy podram shielded off from the bay shortly.

Transmission info is correct. Easiest way to check is to look for the kickdown cable coming off the throttle - the newer autos don't have it.
You could probably still use your older rebuilt auto but you would need to use an external controller for the older transmission - the factory ecu probably will not run it. (I say probably because there's a low possibility it will control enough, but you're on your own as I haven't heard of anyone trying it).

The engine in question is also missing the air con compressor and power steering pump - are these included in the price?

I got the engine, loom and Manual ECU from Importbitz as a package. It had the alternator, PS pump, AC compressor all attached. I then sourced the missing turbo inlet pipe with BOV, MAF and ignitor through Importbitz aswell. It was very competitively priced as I had done some conversion wiring for Importbitz in their MKII as part payment.

I purchased the JZX81 engine brackets new from Toyota in NZ along with a new waterpump, timing belt, thermostat, T/Belt tensioner bearing and ram, fuel filter etc.
