errr...fully forged 7M at 22psi on a hiflowed Group A CT26...stock trans cooler and some 40+ degree Perth days...basically heat, load and more heat...(ambient temp 100mm off the bitumen was around 50 degrees) I'm not complaining, I am well aware the load and temps combined were too much for a stock A340! I expect a similar fate awaits the A340 behind the 2JZ-GTE in the other A70....

Though I personally like m/t much more... guess a decent trans cooler and temp gauge would cost much less

My brother and few friends are running a pcs in there cars on a 1uz and 1j for the pass 2-3 years with no issues at all. It runs totally independent from the ecu. Depending on which auto you have the pcs can control some functions (shift points and torque lock up) to line pressure if you run an aristo valve body. There are good things with them as my brother makes the pcs to run the engine fans in relation to coolant temp and road speed. Also you have full control of the shifts, torque points and can be tuned live. Software setup is not really hard as long you have wired up all the options.

The on thing we find annoying that the shift tables has 7kph points increments (bad resolution which can be reduced by reducing the tps movement) and the wiring is a bit fragile at the connector. Also they released a paddle shit kit which will work with the pcs (plug and play) but from my understanding these boxes don't like downshifting electronically.

The controller so far is a good unit compared to a supra stick (as the same mate had it before changing to pcs) as the software is more user friendly and it uses a 2D map with a tracer to assist in refining the shift tables.

    Cheers

Yes pcs are good but most guys on here won't pay 1000 to 1500 for them
I think they are around that

These boxes won't down change gears unless u press the throttle
I had this problem all the time with the tip tronic kit on my a340
U down change and it hits like a false neutral then u accelerate and
    It selects the gear

The pcs cost a bit more then a supra stick but it is a relative pricing of scale (it was not much differences when we bought it). Pcs is fully independent unit and universal (like a motec for transmissions) which you can run nearly any box (up to 6 sp) behind it (a mate ran a motec tuned l98 turbo v8 behind a home built supra auto in a A70 supra). A supra stick is a good unit also but we found that it was not flexible enough to what we want from it as it compatible with the a340 family (when we were looking at that time) and limited inputs/outputs.
