I'm looking extremely doubtful. Can't get brake lines done til next Thursday at the earliest.
Might try & wrangle to get the wheel alignment done before the brakes, but that shop feels about moving a car around with just the handbrake...

Buy them Draven. A great set of tyres. On a dodgy wheel alignment, BHG and maybe 300rwkw the car was doing easy 1:07s.

Do it Greg. Maybe Justen's got some wheels they're already mounted on he could lend you for next week?

Going to be a good day, plenty of track time on offer by the sounds of it and good weather to boot. Also, friday evening isn't going to be too quiet, just spoke to Chewy (ex white datto 1200) and there's 7 of them staying with us.

Yeah. I have some Volk PCD adaptors (they came off a Supra actually), but it would depend what the offset ends up as i guess?

Wheels are 8.5's from memory. Whats sort of offset do you need and i'll work out if they will fit.

eeaahhh... +38 is generally good, but if they're only 8.5 we'll have a bit of room to play with.

Vito, hopefully they get the right pistons.
3 of the 4 pistons in the FTO front calipers I got were siezed, so got new ones in. Except they were about 1.5mm too big, so now hopefully I'll get the correct ones tomorrow night.
Now means getting the wheel alignment done before the brakes, but not looking good for Friday at all.

Garth, was there any more thought about EC? My club is invited to a multi club super sprint there on 16 Sept, but only 3 flying laps per stint, and then I reckon maybe 6 stints isn't much track time for $200...

Shane, Steve; if you guys are thinking you're a chance let me know asap - i closed off and paid for our spots over the weekend.

Hey, thursday night people: what time are you keen to head down, and how late are you planning on staying up?? I've got babysitting duties after work thursday as the missus is out for dinner - between the fucknuckle that is Phil at the Pelican, me being the 7th person that requires a second room and probably not getting there until 12:30/1am i'm looking like just doing the run down early friday. The cons being doing the early run down on friday.

I want to come down thursday but confusing Phil + extra cost are really hampering that desire.

Re EC, costs and availability have somewhat strangely both gone the wrong way after the new works. Current thinking is organising those interested into all going to a scheduled L2S practice day there, not a private closed day. Costs are actually very reasonable and track time is good. Requirements are L2S cams licence (obviously), and there are sessions for open wheelers and bikes, but they need to actually have enough numbers pre-booked to get sessions.

I'm planning on making the November day because it's the only day L2S can attend that's on the full circuit. I know a lot of you don't have an L2S or ARDC membership (which isn't a requirement) but i'd convince you how it's worth it, and that it's cheap.

Edit: Actually, fuck the extra cost; you tightarses can manage an extra $2.86 can't you? I get so caught up in the Pelican dude's clusterfuck of a mental system of cleaning costs vs fucktardery vs "cost of being a going concern"... fuck.

Ok, i'm good. I just need to decide what is more of a hassle; coming down late or getting up early. I might just flick the girl next door $20 to watch my tv for 3 hours until Bec gets home. Hmmm.
