Bumpage, I've finally got stuck back into the celica again, & am still totally unhappy with the dellow bellhousing. Am now looking into suitability of other housings, & will be happy to organise a group buy if a niteparts housing suits my needs & enough people are still interested.

Well I am in, if there is a group buy going ahead.

I reckon if we found the model no of the 4A-GE powered car, that came with the Wxx box, and ordered 5 or 6 boxes from Toyota, they would oblige.

I looked at purchasing a 1J to W58 bell housing from Toyota a few years ago. "No mate not enough demand", now you can buy them new from Toyota for about $400.00.

Post 6 names of definates below, and I will go see Toyota.

    cheers Chuck.

I don't think that their is/was any 4A powered W5x equipped vehicles, although if their was I'd definitely be up for a Toyota made bellhousing! But with the number of custom made 4A to W5x housings out there & with no one ever having mentioned of their existance, I reckon we're out of luck.

There are 2 Corolla' type RWD coupe cars sittng in the Bathurst car museum. Both having some history, winning their class at Mt Panorama a number of times. These cars are fitted with 4A-G engines and a Wxx gearbox.

Will someone with some knowledge of Toyota's please post the chassis designation, and we will be on our way. Trueno coupe maybe?

    cheers Chuck.

Im sure with everyone looking to use these, they would have found out if any had them stock.

    Are you sure?
AFAIK they only ever used the T-50.
It was never a factory option.
