Technically I think flywheel bolts are single use. However I ordered new ones when I first installed my engine and have re-used them 2-3 times since without issue. I know their history and they haven't been abused.

Pressure plate torque I do by feel.

I need a working 4AGE bottom end. Pref smallport GZE, but all others considered. Also complete motors.
Drift Volvo. Was fun. 2JZ next time.

    Cool thanks.

Genuine bolts are only $4ea so I'll change them while I'm at it.

ARP bolts are pretty cheap too. I used a set when I did the clutch in my Levin. Cheap insurance.

For the $4/bolt, it could save you $250+ when this happens...

You can re-use them but for the love of god use a good torque wrench, ensure the mating surface of the flywheel is clean and do them up in the correct sequence.
Flat chat with a $20 rattle gun will result in a fucked crank and fucked gearbox.

again - yes they are reusable but for the $25ish that a set of ARP bolts cost you would be stupid not to replace them. I have seen first hand the absolute mess caused by some flywheel bolts backing out and it just aint cool...

Meh, I'll be buying new bolts when I change my clutch. Too cheap to not to really.

Not really a fan of using it where its not specified to be honest but plenty of people like to use it

Indeed it did. It mashed the crank surface and the flywheel surface enough that it would require 2mm to be machined off of each to make useable. Ended up costing me around $250+ after I bought a new crank, flywheel, crank bolts, sealants and paid for the tow truck to bring it home. I'm still of the though that flywheel bolts can be re-used and I'm not going to preach to people that they are not, but after this little venture, I'm just going to buy new bolts in future.

I'm just glad it let go at 40km/h on a quiet road and not at 110km/h (8500rpm) which the car was doing the evening before...

I reused mine when I did my rebuild. Used an Ebay torque wrench and loctite.
