Does it run a air flow meter
If so check voltages
Sounds like. Low fuel flow or fuel distribution problem
Spray something flammable down intake as u rev it to seeing it gets better
Put a scanner on it and see live data
Nearing completion of replacing a 22r with a 3rz into a '92 xcab. Engine starts and will idle. Try to rev it and it coughs & far@#. Can only increase revs by going slowly on the pedal and when driving it has zero power...more coughs & far@#!!
It's like the ECU is not getting a vital signal from somewhere?
The 22 pin plug from the ECU that does not go to the Engine has the following pins; STA...AC1...SPD...TAC...IMI...IMO...W...STP...IDLO ...ELS...BATT...OD2...ACT...THOW...L...S...R...SIL ...TC...FC...4WD...+B
I have connected +B...BATT...FC (Circuit Opening Relay)... Do I need any of the others?
The car is 2wd Manual and not Air Conditioned, does not have ABS Brakes or Cruise Control.
There are 2 other plugs from the engine loom...one with 7 pins which I think are all to do with the Check Connector (only 3 wires in it) and the other has 13 pins (10 wires) and I have connected one which is a power feed to the coils. Some of these also go to the Check Connector...A/C clutch..earths...and maybe one to the reverse light switch.
We road tested the engine/gearbox in the donor vehicle before we bought it...perfect.
What am I missing??
ISSUE FIXED...Power feed wire to AFM not connected!

Do you have wiring diagram?
All your diagnostics is W to warning light "-", then TE1 to "-" and ignition on (te2 works as well)
