But the guy in the US said he would pack it right, courier siad he wouldnt use it as a football, baggage handlers said they would gentle with it and customs also swore to die rather than mistreat his precious cargo!

only potential flaw in this new turbo is you.
take it to a shop and get them to fit the housing and turbo for you.

No. I already fit another ct on myself this weekend with no issues. Ive learnt from my large number of mistakes.
Bolt up Oil feed ,oil drain, coolant lines, turbo elbow , exhaust manifold - Its not that hard , just uncomfortable and awkward to do.
Wont be putting this one on until the one I installed this weekend blows...which hopefully shouldn't be for awhile.
now for my brakes I'm going to a mechanic as I'm not fucking around with that shit.
FOR SALE NOW $750 neg
C'mon...you can't leave us hanging like that....what happened or what did you do?

(now that's my type of racing)
LOL , bought this turbo and another 2nd hand ct at the same time. 2nd hand ct came first , installed that, this one has been in my draw ever since - never an
car is running fine atm , all good
just needs a tune and an r154 if you are looking for ridiculous power, other wise stock a340e will hold up fine.
Realised that even if I drop another 6k on top of the 15k ive already dropped its still a 26 year old car and I will never be able to fully cruise with peace of mind.....unless I spent another 5-6k replacing every aging part. Spent every single weekend and every spare cent I had in the last two years on the Supra and now I just want a semi fast car that can double as a daily as well. im no mechanic and tired of acting like one...
so long story short...im selling the supra for $3500 and selling all the parts Ive acquired for it over the past 2 years...and no im not parting the Supra out.
I don't know much about turbo's, in fact what I totally know could be written on a postage stamp.
But I came across the attached info sheet a while ago. it was originally put out I think by the MR2 mob and then copied by Alltrac. net.
If you go to this site:- www.mrcontrols.com/primers/turbo.htm Whilst the heading is "GT-26 Twin Entry Turbocharger" Here he talks about the TO4E 40 turbo and the CT-26 and trims.
As I said before Turbo stuff is all new to me. You guys probably know of this site and have read it all before.
Still I would like to know what you think, as I'm thinking of going with his idea of stage 1
Yup seen it before, but only because I researched so much on the stock turbo alternatives on the 7m. Stage one as in "TO4E-46 trim compressor wheel and perform a 15 degree clip on the turbine wheel" ?
Glen Munroe offers a multitude of services but I don't think he offers clipping. If you are dead set on a ct then they offer ball bearing conversions as well :

I don't know much about the 3sgte so I cant really advise you there... I'm sure the more knowledgeable people will chip in....
Thanks Aloshan
I have been doing a bit more research as well. I've read the similar threads below, they are quite helpful. The other info I read on the net was turbochargerkits.com.au. It is interesting what he says about the "Kingugawa CT26 Upgrade". Basically he believes it is a waste of money, and you are better off going with a TO4B compressor wheel.
Very much like the info from MRcontrols.
From what I have gathered the way to go (for me that is) is stock turbine wheel and a 54trim. I note that Munro Racing Turbochargers mention that trim.
Boxh34d did a good job in that thread he wrote.
I have found on a ebay site (probably US) Green Sources compressor wheel for Garrett TO4B 409179-0023 51.6/70 8/8 for $49.99 (US) They say it is made from aluminium alloy and is balanced. Yeh I do realise the compressor housing has to be machined and the whole lot balanced. A lot of cost just to get a bit less lag time and small gain in the go department. But..............
