it's a good idea for an event ... saying that, it would be a great way to keep the classic oldschool japanese car owners of Perth in the "know" for upcoming events to suit ie: toyotas in the park ... i found out last minute it was on last year, and unfortunately i was already entered in another event, so couldnt attend TITP

regarding the Rising Sunday event, it wasnt a case of people being stupid that caught the attention of the police, it was that it was a large advertised events, and thus drew the attention.
whereas you get clubs such as jdmwa and such who do act up on cruises reguarly which attract the police attention.

Have to agree there, Every cruise ive been on in QLD, VIC, TAS, WA wether it be in cars or bikes, without fail if its pretty epic cruise/meet the cops always show up. Sometimes at the end sometimes at the start. Everyone immediately assumes, large group of done up cars = hoons. Even if they aren't.
Wether its from cars which seem to perfectly turn up when the cruise starts or random cops that drive past. I guess the fact that many meets have people who act silly and ruin it for others, people have illegal/unroadworthy cars and what better time for the cops to get up the quota when you have a large pack of them and generally its people who modify cars, some are too cheap to do it properly and they are easy pickings.
Plus the cars are noisy and stand out ish.

You just have to pick your battles.

    Japanese Nostalgia's 1st Cruise/Meet Event

All makes and models of Japanese cars/bikes welcome
    - Any style ( Vintage/Classic , Drift , Bozu , V.I.P, etc )
    - 25+ Years Old (Pre 1987)
Will make some exceptions on certain models , drop me a message to discuss.

    The Good
-We recommend you get to the first meet point around 1pm as the first meeting point will be the longest for pics/hellos/talking rubish/eating.
-We encourage people with non Nostagic cars to come have a look see, we just ask you to park away from the event.
-Maps will be handed out to cars that qualify to the above requirements.

    The Bad
-We kindly ask you to not overly rev or screech your tyres around any of the meet points. Everyone knows what a blow off valve sounds like and you not going to impress anyone with a single pegger skid. If we can ALL come to an understanding about this 1 rule the idiot that does it will look like such a douche bag. The word 'hoon' is getting thrown around a lot today so please act civilized and prove the media/society wrong.
-This is not the event to bring your $200 Gumtree Special with a locked diff, bald tires , cracked windscreen and no exhaust. There's a line between a Project car and scrap metal waiting to be picked up by sims metal.
