How much boost was it making at that point? A converter's advertised stall is not necessarily gospel.... for example a 2800 converter might stall to exactly 2800 on a setup that makes 100hp at those revs, but say you actually make more power at that point, it will stall higher. Does that make sense?
I see about 3200rpm from memory, then it either pushes the car through the brakes, or spins the tyres.
Best way to check the stall is not to sit against the brake, but drive along at slow speed in 2nd or 3rd gear with no throttle, then stab the gas and see what point it settles on momentarily before it takes off. Mine almost religiously goes to 2600-2800 doing this.
