    Looks pretty sweet.

Seems very similar to the suprastick also.

Is that $700AU or $700US plus the harness?

Now that I have got this bastard working, I will be sticking with it!

Chris: i vaguely recall someone called K-Dog making a simple sequential shifting kit for these boxes. End result was you used the stick to change thru PNRD - and then paddles/buttons on the steering wheel to go 1-2-3-4. It also had a display telling you what gear you were in.

    Is this what yours does?

i bought afew of kdogs units

and have set them up already wired to suit a 1uz crown gbox and im sure a 1jz is the same but its piss easy to set it for 1j anyway as i have access to the plugs for the 1j auto

and all it needs is 12v ign and an earth

i can also set it up with remote control buttons for an extra cost so theres no need for

wires coming of back of the steering wheel and around the boss

So chris, just to confirm, are the problems you're having only related to using the MV shift box with dash indicator lights? ie: If using it purely as a standalone controller, no issues should occur with residual voltage?

    Cheers
    Phil

AFAIK that is correct. I think you will have to put 2 relays on it to shutoff power to the 12v input and Drive input signal wire anyway.

I've got a relay fitted already for the 12V input, but not the drive input... will see how it goes & let you know.

Just an update, as much as I read in this thread I couldn't find anything about a diode fix you can use. IMO it's stupid that I bought an MV shift box assuming it would do it's job when installed as per instructions.

It was needed for my sparky to fit a diode to each solenoid wire so the small amount of current (.2 v) would allow solenoid b to fully disengage. When we fully disconnected the MV shift box and powered solenoid A up I had first gear, but when I plugged the shift box in and selected L with the shifter the mv box kept enough current in sol b to not let me get 1st gear.

Anywho all fixed and very happy with the rest of it.

    Cheers graeme
