Default 1J vvti, Won't start, but turns over???

I have recently completed a 1J vvti auto out of a Jzx100 into my Losurf project. Its been sweet for a few months now.

But today when I tried to restart the car after a drive, the Engine Light came on like normal when you turn the ignition on, but the Engine Light was only very dim(not bright) and the J would only turn over. I left it for a while with the ignition turned on and the Engine Light went back to it's full brightness and it restarted. I drove it stright home, turned it off and now it won't start again.

Thanks for any help, Ive got a few ideas to try tomoro.

    2jzhilux +1 for earth
One more. There's connector located very close to ECU. It collects all the earths in efi system. Check it out: continuity to intake manifold, to car body and to battery (-) terminal.

Anything above 1..2 ohm (depending on quality of your meter) should warn you.

Tested Earths and they are fine. Something is now using power, flaten the battery over night. I've got a feeling it may be the new security system. So back to the shop it goes.

yep, bloody amazing what will happen to a perfectly running car when a "specialist" alarm/audio shop gets hold of them. Mate with a stock VL commonwhore dropped his car in for some stereo upgrades. Went to pick it, "sorry mate she wont start". Turns out the dickheads had driven a speaker mounting screw straight through the engine ECU case and into the circuit board and killed the ECU!

    cheers Chuck.
