are the crossmembers different? They had the same part number between the JCE and GXE from memory when I was researching it.
hi all,
i know there are a few flaoting around, most of the build threads just sorta show the motor in, big turbo, dyno graph and 'does skids'...
i'm just trying to clear up a few things before jumping in,
i have got an Aristo non VVT 2JZ, and i have a GXE10 frame to put it in,
the car is auto, and i plan on running a A341 of sorts behind it...
physically fabricating mounts, gearbox crossmember, tailshaft etc isn't a huge problem, but if the IS300 gear can make it a bolt in affair this will save time.. even if i can only use some of it..
1 - the mounts, i can get IS300 alloy mounts pretty cheap from the US.. not a huge problem..
2 - rubber mount/insulators - toyo DIY have different part numbers for the GXE10 and JCE10 rubbers.. should be able to source some as they also share the same part number as the GS300 & JCE10 do i need these? i'm assuming they have a different height? smaller or taller then the 1G mounts?
my main question - will all of this fit onto the GXE10 crossmember? i know the cross members are slightly different.. is this mount spacing?? sump clearance?? etc
i'll probly have more questions but this is what is holding me back getting a few things together at the moment..

according to ToyoDIY -
GXE10 - 51201-53020
JCE10 - 51201-53010
i am not sure where the difference is between them.. and all my forum whoring can't seem to get any answers, which is odd as it's been done plenty of times before.
