Hi everyone,
I'm having some trouble pulling my R154 apart. I've been following the manual religiously, but for some reason there's always one thing that doesn't behave.
I've seen this problem posted on other forums and i've tried to use their methods but nothing is working.
I can't separate the main housing from the intermediate plate.
This is as far as it goes:

I've tried banging the output shaft on the ground, balancing it on the output shaft and hitting the housing, prying it apart with everything i have.
I've removed all the bolts:
And the 2 C clips:

Any secrets???
Thanks

Yep, just needs a little extra pursuasion. Good work oon getting there in the end.
What are your plans with it though?
I've pulled it apart to see what the condition is and whether it's worth replacing any of the bearings, seals or synchros.
I'm pretty sure i'll do the basic upgrades (Marlin Crawler bearing retainer, billet shift fork and thrust washer).
It's a back up gearbox for when my 2nd W58 breaks.
