One would not even Google this, logic thinking tell much.
Cast iron so it's old design.Pushrod holes so it's old design. What Toyota engine have pushrods? T-head is aluminium.6/7/8/18R are OHC.So it must be the older R-series head. What exactly difficult to say but knowing the engine family and measuring bore the answer is close.
the 5R was used from mid 1968 to 1992, although production stopped in 1986.
there were a few versions of the 5R but the main two were timing chain and timing gear, although there was ment to have been a five main bearing version? and a higher flow square port head for the timing gear version.
one key factor is the difference between the timing chain and timing gear versions as sumps gaskets are not the same and nor are the water pumps. one bolts to the head the other the engine block and the easiest way to tell them is the PCV positive crank ventilation under the manifolds, the timing gear has two clearly seen bolts that hold it in place and the other has a round hole and is pressed in.
a 5R head
