    Default na to vvti swap

I have a 1993 us spec supra and a 1998 vvti motor. Cant seem to get 12v to the throttle valve motor. Any one got any clues?

Depending on how it's wired it may be electrical or mechanical issue. Most obvious idea is that you don't put 12v where it should be...ECU terminal "+BM". Also ECU's for engines with ETCS-I usually have additional ground terminal EC, which is also critical for et. operation.

btw, 1 or 2 jz? the latter may be immobilised.

Thanks for getting back, the motor is a 2jxgte vvti 1998 with the newer etcs. I did find 2 ground points in the 1j2 plug that were not grounded and have since grounded them.
At this point still no power

You still have to check every pin that needs +12V. Especially +BM, there's no such in earlier models.

Geroge is right, you need to make sure that the engine ECU +BM pin is powered. I have a feeling that it might not be currently! It is fed from a seperate fuse (ETCS).

Below is for 2JZGTE VVTi from JZS161, but the +BM / ETCS circuit and engine ECU pin is the same as 2JZGTE VVTi from JZA80

I have 12v to all the points on the ecu and found on the 1j2 plug pin 8 and 9 are grounds and not on the 1993 na harness. All are grounded now but still nothing no
    power to valve motor.
