my adub did this after I swapped radiators. Turned out that the temp sensor screwed into one of the end tanks was faulty. Due to this, the controller ran the fan all the time. Try swapping out the temp sensor (or checking it's plugged in)
Good day guys!
I would like to ask how or what is the proper wiring of the radiator fan from my 4age 16v bluetop (AW11). since my last radiator overhaul the mechanic rewired the radiator fan and i think he wired it the wrong effn way that it keeps on running and never stops, checked my thermostat already and still working. then last night the fan blade came off, the base mounting melted off..
here's

also toyotas wiring is so there is a safety on the system
if the wire from fan temp sender to the fan relay gets cut
it turns the fan on
also if your air con gas gets low or is gone fan also comes on too on some toyotas
so could be anything
most mechanics dont realise toyotas work a different way so they fk things up in the end
Im sory if this doesnt help... I blew a fuse once under the dash, that kept my fans running, cnt remember which fuse, but it did do it??
Mayb worth a look??
Dom
I'd be checking your plug first.
Like dumbass said If there is a fault the fan will stay on.
it's a naturally closed relay...
