1Uz ecu which to use Haltech,stock Soarer or uzs131 crown?
I have one of each and stock looms for each soarer and crown, which will take the least effort to run the 1UZ as a stand alone manual engine? That I'm fitting in to my 4runner
I have read most of the 1UZ threads but have not found many that use a Haltech.
Advise on which to use would be great.

If the engine is staying stock, just use the stock ecu.
Soarer wiring diagrams readily available.

what haltech do u have
new ones work ok with toyota reluctor sensors
older haltechs have issues
trust me i had to fit an e11 to a 1uz and it turned to shit

if going auto then u need afew things to look at before u decide

if its a pre '94 soarer engine and ecu you can also disconnect the MAF sensor and get a nice performance bump (at the expense of fuel economy...)

It's stock "92" soarer 1uz with the 4runner r150 gearbox.
as the crown engine has a 75% chance of going into a ski boat
The Haltech is a platinum sport 2000

If you have a Sport 2000, you've done well. I have my 1uz run by a Sprint 500 and it does the job fine.
