Well I have spoken to various members of law societies and groups that im a part of and have been told that there would be an interest in this move provided the car clubs that i have spoken about are willing to go all the way, IE. Quite a fair bit of interest and commitment before we even go proposing ideal changes and etc. (I cant go into bat on my own with the very few ideas that I have).mr shin
Big ambition... I would BE the 60 y.o. dude before anything at all changed - things happen veeeeeeeery slowly in government departments.
However, I'm always happy to be a part of anything that upsets people who do very little Now the big question is - just WHAT to do...
So hopefully it begins here:
what do we want?
and how do we want it?
Then when we have plenty we can begin the long process to start the ball rolling...

for start we want to feck off these rediculous grey import laws, and the insanely high duties imposed when importing modern vehicles. We want to do this because the locally produced modern vehicles have lower quality standards than the imported vehicles.
Other than that, as far as modifications go, I personally would like to be able to freely increase the diameter and width of my rims as long as the rims fit within the guards without anything impeding the operation of the suspension (ie wheels dont rub on anything) and the speedo is corrected to compensate for any changes in rolling diameter. This would be in opposition to the current standards of not being able to increase the rim diameter by more than 2" from the factory standard rims. It would allow me to legally run 17" rims on my RA23, instead of needing to opt for 16" rims.
