Unhappy 1jz hilux radiator location. PLZ help

Hey guys i have a 1jz in my lux 95 3xtra cab and i dont know where else to put my radiator otehr then the tray. the cooler is behind my grill and is no roome for a radiator. some ideas i have might be to use a subaru cooler and put it on the top of engine with a bonnet scoop installed then the radiator could go in the original place?

the issue is overheating at the moment with lack of airflow and look wise also.
I know this conversion has been done lots but i cant get any help with my issue or see any pics of other setups.
    thanks heaps.

Are you trying to run A/C in it?

maybe u mounted the motor too far forward , i had no probs using a jza70 radiator with 2x 12" thermos on the back , plus a 3" cooler infront of that

Well u had to cut the grill and bumpers. i guess i could do the same. i just wanted it to look stock. maybe ill sink the rad in my tray so i gets some air from under the ute... what temp should it run at. mine hits 100 after cruising highway after 45 mins. thats too hot right?

No problem fitting it?? Hahaha thats if you want it all hanging out LOL! Yep radiator under the deck works well. The bonus too is that you can but the biggest bastard you can find in,and the long lines add extra capacity and a small amount of extra cooling also.

well u dont have to go a 3" thick cooler like i did. i was making 400rwhp

get a thinner intercooler , eg xr6T ones are quite thin , cheap and would do the job fine ( if not aiming for big hp )

or look into water to air cooler setups.

Not gonna get it behind the grill unless its an inch thick! Maybe you could look at something like this http://images.trademe.co.nz/photoser...60920_full.jpg
OR as you said put radiator in back. Big as you want. If i had a ute for a project this is what i would be doing without a doubt. The less there is in front of the motor getting cool air in there the better. Up to you though. There is no truely right or wrong way of doing it. It comes down to personal preference really. I just like the idea of as big a radiator cooling system and intercooler as possible cos i like doing skids and giving cars death so its needed but yeah. Depends what you wanna do with it.
