Default Location of Intercooler / Radiator - 1JZ

    Hello all,

Just looking for some ideas / feedback with regards to setting up the Rad / IC on my BMW.
The pics attached show what I have now setup.

    A/c Condenser w/fan
    Intercooler
    Rad
    Fan - electric.

I want to try the following.
    A/c Condenser w/fan
    Rad
    Intercooler
    Fan - electric.

The Idea behind this is to help the Rad cool the fluids easier (1JZ hot), The IC behind the Rad will have the electric Fan to cool off the air. Water being much more hot and dense then the hot air from the turbos (Or am I making the wrong assumption)
Also don't plan to put the FMIC under the bumper simply because, being in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia driving on any street and highways always bear surprises, like a dead dog suddenly appearing in front of you, pieces of wood, Blown tire caps from trucks and the flash floods when it rains.(thinking of investing in a Jet Ski for that)

SO I would like to keep the I/C up higher.

    Appreciate suggestion, ideas, feedbacks.

    Cheers

Have a look at the temperature that all of those items work at.
If your intercooler is working at 80deg C and the air coming off your radiator is already 70deg C then your intercooler will do stuff all being after the radiator.
You know your radiator works at 80-110 deg C (on the inside).

IMHO you want the Intercooler first. If you need bigger cooling then you will want a bigger radiator, more efficient fans and maybe you could look at adding an oil cooler.
