Ok Just paid up for the whole season
Will be running the PM sessions, but am flexible to change if need be.

May have a test version of the timing gear ready for the 29th, so will be keen to try it out on the morning people

    Cheers,

Can you make sure you send through a completed Entry Form.

Also, can you also complete the pre-event column of the Scrutineering Checklist to either send through with your entry or bring with you on the day (don't forget though). The purpose of that is to make sure you check things yourself beforehand to reduce the chance of us finding something and failing scrutineering. This is particularly important for those that have not done such an event before.

Send forms, etc. to [email protected]

Bevan and I are paid for the AM session (for the whole series), and $50 for a AASA license for him (I've got valid CAMS).

Does he need to AASA paperwork before the day, or can it be done there?

    Hi guys,

So I didn't have to clog the first post with too many details (it has enough as it is), I put some of the more intricate details in the Supp Regs, which everyone should read.

Yes, AASA application forms can be handed-in on the day, but it would be good if people print them off using the link in the first post and fill them in beforehand. It's a reasonably long form, and with scrutineering and other documentation requirements on the day, it would be best if they're just ready to hand-in so we can get underway with the driving and fun as quickly as possible.

We need entry forms and payments by COB the Friday before the event - that's next Friday for the Jan 29th event.

You should also fill-in the pre-event column of the Scrutineering form and either send that in or bring it with you on the day. Same as with the AASA application form, if you need a license, as described above.

To remind people, the entry cost, discounts, etc. are documented in the Supp Regs, so have a read. But I've copied that section here:

Entry cost for a single event in the Red Mist Autokhana Series is $65 for TECCWA members and $75 for non-members. Please nominate whether you wish to enter the AM/PM session on your Entry Form.

Multiple/Series discounts are calculated according to the following when purchased together:
    - 2 or 3 events: 5% discount
    - 4 or 5 events: 10% discount
    - 6 events: 15% discount

For example, entry to all 6 events for a TECCWA member will cost $331.50 instead of $390 if purchased individually.

Discount is applied to total entry fee (excludes AASA license if required).

If you have paid for multiple events, but are unable to attend, substitutions are allowed where you can have another take your place. Substitutions are allowed up to the closing date of entries for the event. If you are unable to organise a substitution for your entry, the following rules apply to any refunds:

    - Full Refund: More than 14 days notice prior to the event entry closing date.
    - 50% Refund: 7-14 days notice prior to the event entry closing date.
    - No Refund: Less than 7 days notice prior to the event entry closing date.

I know it's a little complicated, but we're trying to encourage people to enter the whole series or a number of events so we can secure the venue, and reward those people with discounts. It also makes managing entries easier, so we can allocate numbers, speed scrutineering and get more runs in on the day, depending on numbers.

Each event will have a number of course layouts (which we are designing) and the Top Gear layout which will run at every event. With some changes to how timing and other logistical things are done, following the Nov event, we hope to have the Top Gear board up and operational on the day, and course times listed for the non-TG times.

Should be fun, and we will do extra runs of the courses, if numbers aren't high. So, get up there and be rewarded.

Our layouts for Jan are locked-in, but we also welcome ideas for future layouts, if you have some feedback. Remember that we need a compromise between fast and tight though, and there are AASA limitations on how long straights are too.

    Cheers

Hi, I noticed on the scrutineering checklist that exhaust excessive noise is an item checked, does that mean external venting wastegates are out? Wouldn't want to enter then get knocked back...

    cheers
