Hi, I noticed on the scrutineering checklist that exhaust excessive noise is an item checked, does that mean external venting wastegates are out? Wouldn't want to enter then get knocked back...

No, I can't see that being a problem. I can't see an external waste gate making that much noise.

If the people nearby are going to get hearing problems, then there could be an issue. Straight out pipes on a big engine, for example.

For reference, Decade was 2dB below the legal limit when it was rego'd in Perth...and Decade is QUIET....

As I said, unless I'm going to have to sue someone for ear damage, or the race cars at Wanneroo start complaining about the noise we're making, I don't think there'll be a problem.
